The NHS provides free health care for most people.
It is important to understand that GPs are self-employed and not all of the services we provide are covered by the NHS payments to the practice.
Please expect a fee for non-NHS services. The staff or your doctor should inform you of any charges before carrying out non-NHS work.
Examples include the following:
- Medicals for pre-employment, sports and driving requirements (HGV, PSV etc.)
- Insurance claim forms
- Fitness to fly certificates
- Prescriptions for taking medication abroad
- Private sick notes
- Certificates for College and School Examinations
- Vaccination certificates
- Firearms
Please see this article for further information: Why does my doctor charge fees?
If you would like to submit a request, please provide full details and submit an ‘Admin Query’ and our team will get back to you with the next steps, confirming the work, the fees and the timeframes.
