Non-urgent advice: Enhanced Access & Out of Hours

NEMS Out of Hours

Calls will be transferred automatically to a clinician working with NEMS who provide the out of hours service. All contact details are transmitted electronically to the medical practice the following morning. This service is for problems which cannot wait until the next available surgery but do not require Emergency Department care.

NHS 111

You can call 111 when you need medical help fast but it’s not a 999 emergency. Available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

NHS 111 Online

A fast and convenient alternative to the 111 phone service and provides an option for people who want to access 111 digitally.

NHS Walk-In Centres

Mainly nurse-led facilities that provide treatment for minor ailments such as infections, lacerations (minor cuts or wounds) and fractures. No appointment is needed for this service. Please see the map.

Emergency Departments

You can call 999 or directly attend an Emergency Department for serious and life threatening injuries or illnesses.
